  • Explain how height and angle of impact are determined from blood spatter patterns.

  • Describe the types of impact blood spatter patterns.

  • Explain how the origin-of-impact is determined.
  • Be able to identify and describe the characteristics of contact/transfer patterns, drip trail patterns, gunshot spatter, cast off spatter and arterial blood spatter.
  • Using a sketch, demonstrate how a void pattern can be used to interpret a crime scene.
  • Describe two methods for documenting blood stain pattern evidence.
